Doris has 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, 20 years of which have been dedicated to providing independent fact-finding forensic analysis and dispute resolution services for both construction project claims and insurance builders risk losses. She possesses an inherent understanding of construction risk and delay & disruption impact, with an extensive background in contract administration and project controls, assessing the expenditure of manpower and resulting time, cost and scope impact factors.
Doris navigates complex claims to facilitate and address the issues unique to each project. She is committed to demonstrating “cause & effect” relationships in a straightforward comprehensive manner, enabling clients to make decisions with confidence. She recognizes the importance of credible and supported findings, of demonstrating entitlement, and of telling the story of how events and circumstances unfolded and altered the planned course of construction.
Doris supports her clients in resolving disputes involving loss of productivity, cost overruns, and schedule delay through negotiation, mediation and litigation proceedings. Her clients include owners, general contractors, subcontractors, legal counsel, sureties, insurers and adjusters, across public, private and commercial sectors.
